About me

Hi, I’m Pam Drucker

I think about the connection of people to processes that shape their daily lives. User advocacy is foundational to my technical writing career. I’ve worked in all stages of the documentation life cycle from planning to producing documents in different languages. To help users get oriented takes a series of small actions.

My career path was molded by working full-time, traveling from coast to coast, and going to school. Eventually I graduated from the Technical Communication degree program at Northeastern University. An influential instructor introduced me to technical and professional organizations and that was my nudge to join the Society for Technical Communication. When I moved from Boston to Vancouver I was proud to serve my professional community as chapter president. After more than a decade in Canada I continue to unlearn and relearn English. Making information work responsibily remains my passion.
